What a weekend

I had one hell of a weekend! Sparing all but the Audi-related details,
let's just say that my cactus-green A4 has individual key-type scratches
on each body panel (fender, front door, rear door, quarter) on the
passenger side. Now, my question. It is clear that 3 of the 4
scratches are going to need refinishing. The one on the rear quarter,
however, is not quite as deep. I used some Meguair's Mirror Glaze #7
polish to work it by hand, since I don't have access to a buffer. All
that is left now is about a 1 inch length scratch. It is still green,
indicating to me that it is not down to the metal. Merely the clear
coat and some of the green paint has been removed. I don't want to pay
$200+ to have this panel even partially refinished if I don't have to.
What should I do to fix it? Can I re-clear coat it some way (spray can
since no air compressor OR spray gun) and then wet sand it and have it
buffed by the body shop? Would this look as good as repainting?
Someone let me know, as I am about to get these repairs done ASAP!

TIA,
Chris
