Just ran across this in my personal archives.  It is from November 1996 and
marks the beginning of what has become an annual event of great camaraderie
and fun for many of us on this list.

Thanks Mr. Howell, through your ideas and initiative. Many of us are a lot
richer. The only disappointment is that some of you could not attend.
