Drunk drivers serving a purpose

With the recent talk about the danger caused by drunks on the road (and who
could argue otherwise), I have come up with a way to use them to one's
advantage. Imagine this....next time you need a new car, go down to the local
pub at 2 am, wait for someone to come stumbling out and follow him/her for a
couple miles. Get in front of them, slam on the brakes (what -- he didn't see
the deer that ran out in front of you?), wait for the cops. The other driver
will be arrested for drunk driving and their insurance company will pay you
off quick in the hopes you don't sue, and you'd get much more than any dealer
would have given you for a trade-in.
With the drunk driving laws the way they are these days most people
convicted get a slap on the wrist and the insurance company just bumps their
rates. However, if they were convicted, and also totaled two cars, that
insurance company would have to be insane to re-issue a policy to them.
You've killed two birds with one stone: you get full book value for your
trade and another drunk is off the road. And, depending on your doctor, you
can pick up a couple extra grand for whiplash =)
