If you're going to be going through the trouble of installing a new
engine, it pays to look around and get yourself a 2.0L instead. If you
get one with 8.5:1 compression and hydraulic lifters, then it should
bolt right in (use the manifolds, oil pan and other ancillaries from
your existing engine). Try Eurospec for the engine.
