Used to have a motorcycle of Asian persuasion (there, is that PC enough?)
while in the service stationed in Mass.  Rode from New Bedford, Mass to
Atlanta quite a few times, around 1100 miles or thereabouts.

All the riders of Japanese bikes would wave at each other without fail.
And you could strike up a conversation with them at the rest stops if you
saw 'em.

But God help you if you ever waved at a Harley rider.  It was beneath them
to wave.
