Subject: Maintenance for '90 100Q

My wife and I just purchased an immaculate '90 100Q but it didn't have the
Maintenance booklet with it. It's just hitting the 100k mile mark, but I
don't know what has been replaced through scheduled maintenance and when.

Can anyone send me the scheduled maintenance list for 90k miles or hints on
other things that I need to get checked out?

The maintenance book can be ordered through the Audi web site (audiusa.com).
The recommended service intervals etc. are also in the Bentley factory service
manual for your car (one was listed here for sale at $50 used earlier today;
great price) which can be ordered new from amazon.com or from other venders
listed in European Car or on the quattro list
(http://coimbra.ans.net/quattro.html) vender's page. You can also contact
Audi customer service who can enter your car's VIN into their computer and
tell you what's been done for dealer service/repair.
I'd recommend a major service as a matter of course for a new used car
purchase. New distributer cap/rotor, plugs, check the plug wires, replace the
fuel filter, replace the air filter, oil/filter change (use Audi filter with
anti drainback valve), clean the ISV. Also remove the timing belt cover and
inspect the belt to see if it looks worn. Typical replacement interval is 60k
miles; if it's original, it's on borrowed time. Enjoy your new car!
