Re: Help:100CS Tranny

The auto trannies on both the FWD and Quattro '92-'93 100's are prone to
problems. I am now at 73k and still have my original tranny (knock on
wood!). While my tranny generally shifts just fine, sometimes when I come to
a stop my tranny does not disengage from gear, and causes the car to stall.
Luckily, this doesn't happen too often, so I can live with it. New trannies
(or rebuilt ones) run about $5k, so I'd check some boneyards for a used one
if possible (preferably from a low mile '94 or a '92-'94 with a replaced
tranny).
