Re: Radiator fan-1990 200tq Help

Possibly unrelated, but one of my Synchros did the same, and it's a
close cousin to your car. I pulled the connector on thermoswitch at the
bottom of the radiator, jumpered it with a paperclip to get the radiator
fan going. There's only three wires, one obviously power, you can
experiment. It got me back on the hot, Dallas freeway and I kept using
the paperclip for the week until I drove back to Michigan. (*Take it
out when you shut off the car.) I replaced the thermoswitch and was
fixed for a month, then the problem came back. I cleaned the plug more
thoroughly, got more corrosion out of it, and had no more problems.
Perhaps the A/C problem is due to no fan at the hot coil? My A/C never
worked so I didn't notice that.
