Removing MIME from MS Exchange (was: Steering racks on 100/5K)
Good try, Doug. Unfortunately it didn't work. When I have a look at my
services, I am using MS Mail instead of Internet Mail. The options given
are different and nowhere does it say anything about "Message Format". I
had a look at the options in Internet Mail just to check I wasn't doing
anything stupid, and that was exactly as you describe.
I'll ask our IT people if they can do anything about this, but I suspect the
answer will be "No".
I also noticed (to my great embarrassment) that I am responsible for THREE
winmail.dat files on the end of the last digest as well as a load of rubbish
about the BBC virus checker not being able to cope with the message (if it
can't cope with the extra crap that it's adding, how does it expect
dinosaurs like Phil with OS/2 to cope?!!!).
