Re: Buzzing

I think I know what your problem is. I've got a '93 90S, and almost
everytime I tried to use the hazards, I'd have to turn the switch on/off
a few times to get them to work, sometimes I would get this buzzing
noise from the vicinity of the gage cluster (no where near the switch).
So I pulled the switch out and tore it apart (figured I've had the seat
heater switches out and apart, how hard can it be?). Found there are
metal spring type contacts in there, they get a little loose and then
don't make good electrical contact. So I grabbed the 90% alcohol
that I have in a spray bottle and flushed the hell out of the contact
area with alcohol (the spray bottle gives it some pressure) and then
I tried to bend the contacts for better pressure. I held down the free
end with one screw driver and then used the round ends of a pair of
peaked nose pliers to pull outward a little up near the switch body.
This seemed to tightened the spring contacts, and now I have NO
problems. When I push the button for hazards, they come on.
