V8 Engine Repairs
Hi Guys,
James Dean's calculation is like my own. Quotes that I've gotten have
suggested that a boneyard replacement would be more costly than a rebuild.
Apparently there is a lot of time consumed in hooking up all of the
peripherals to the engine. Both the dealer and the Audi trained private
guy wanted significantly more to put in another engine. The only reason i
was willing to go this route was that I thought a 4.2 would work or
because there were three brand new engines that a lister told me about.
The new ones cost 6K, which meant that with another 2-3K for installation
I would have the same performance for a longer time!
Best,
Larry
