Huh? A galvanized '85 Golf? US only?
I know for a fact that '84, '85 and '90 Golfs (did body repairs on all of
these) were not galvanized here.
They were painted very well though. Only the extremely abused Golfs rust-
my neighbour's '84's a case in point. Spent all of its life outdoors and in
our salty winters- NO rust. Very good cars qualitywise. The Golf Mk.1
('74-'83) wasn't as well-built... '84-'90 VWs can regularly be found in
as-new condition here, something you certainly can't say of their
competitors...
