Did you use a 6-point socket?   I _only_ use 6-points on those and then I 
soak them with penetrating oil beforehand.   If that fails, I do have 
oxy-acetylene torches.  :-)

BTW, what are you guys doing to replace these lines?   I found that the 
flange fittings are NOT standard with the hydraulics places.   I ended up 
TIG-welding AN fittings (-6 on the top and -8 on the bottom) to the flanges 
that I cut off the old hoses.  Then I made up regular AN hoses ast the 
local hose shop.  Its not as pretty as stock but it works.
