How to prperly remove badges

Two parts: one answer for the Qlister asking about the trunk badges and
one question.

The trunk lid badges are attached simply with adhesive. I found a good way
to rmove 'em is to use a box cutter type razor. Just slice between the
badge and the lid. Make sure the badge is warm, or you'll have a hell of a
time cutting through. To protect the paint, slip a piece of wax paper
between the blade and the paint. It'll glide along.

Now for my question: how to get all of the adhesive off the paint? I'm
always left with the black "Audi ..." left by the adhesive. I use cleaners
and ultrafine sandpaper with no success. My next Audi might be Pearl and
I'm definately putting the S6 badge I have on my car on it. TIA!

get through this thing together so I can go back to doing what I do best:
killing you with beer."
