While I would like to take credit for that suggestion, I believe it was
Scott Justusson aka PDQSHP that offered that help. He is the turbo
guru.....ya know....

I hope you get your problem figured out...cracks in the exhaust manifold
are pretty common in these cars, normally if the crack is small enough,
they don't cause a huge problem other than some noise during warm up.
