Intercooler cooling

Just wondering, has anybody tried actively cooling the intercooler?
I mean, it occured to me that the intercooler provides a nice boost to
HP (I've heard about 25 or so), but that only happens while the car is
moving.  In city traffic the intercooler would seem to be pretty
useless.  Adding a fan would seem to take care of that (assuming you
could fit a decent one in there), but then you'd be messing with the
airflow through the intercooler at speed (eg: on the highway).  Maybe
this wouldn't matter to much.

Just curious.
