RE: Inercooler cooling



the intercooler on the rs2 is at bumper level which is fine, but the
installation is also helped by a shroud which extends underneath the car
back from the bumper to the transmission.  in the middle of the shroud
is a large sculpted hole which the hot air from the i/c passes out off.

the only downside of this location is the length of the inlet tract.  a
shorter tract would help throttle response.  i personally consider the
sport location to be a better one, but you'd need to work on getting the
air out.  not sure whether the hood vents are really enough...
