than using swing out arms. You probably couldn't use it to work
under the car, but it doesn't sound like you plan that anyway.
If it is just like the garage repair lifts, go ahead. The garage I worked
at had 4 of the surface mount units and they were more dependable
than the old hydraulic units. All you had to do was plug them into
a dedicated circuit and run 'em up and down.
