Now that I think about it, "hydraulic" was probably a misnomer since most of
the ones I've seen use electric motors rather than hydraulics to lift the
platform.

And Yes, they do have platforms rather than swing-out arms (although some of
them use only ramps which means that you can still get under the middle of
the car).  My primary concern here is storage not access; that it may be
possible to work under the car as well would just be a bonus.  :^)
