RE: Dilemma '86 CGT Trunk Shock Top Bolt Insert

Here's the poop.

Paint Shop lost one of the inserts on the trunk lid for the bolt that holds the trunk shock screw.

Audi say's too bad...want a new one...gotta buy a new trunk lid.

Checked local wreckers no Coupes or You have to buy the lid to get the insert .

And...I'm not interested in the "weld an appropriate nut to lid" approach.

Any other ideas?
