oh well!(kaboom)
The drummer from Aerosmith had his Ferrari go up in smoke at a gas station
on the Cape.
I'd be willing to bet that one of the following is true:
-he was smoking
-someone else was smoking
-car was running when he fueled it
-someone else's car was running when he fueled it
etc.
Seriously...I once had to walk over to someone's minivan and ask them to
shut off their car before I would fuel my car. The lady waiting in the
passenger seat looked at me like I was from mars. I camly pointed to the
sign saying in big, red letters, "SHUT OFF VEHICLE" and explained that I
did not feel like exploding today.
Seems people do this all the time without thinking; it's _NOT_ safe...
I seem to remember reading that 1 cup of gas at the proper air/fuel ratio
will lift one ton 1,000 feet...people just _don't_ realize how dangerous
gas and gas vapor is...
