Re: V8Q Hot Start Problem

I was thinking about your problem and you are correct, your problem is
different from mine. Mine wouldn't get gas or spark, while yours
definitely is.
If I were to guess, your idle stabilization valve is either dirty or
has failed. It is a black cylidrical valve held to the front of the
intake by three acorn nuts (it looks like it is hanging off the front
of the intake manifold). There is a plug electrical connector on the
side. This valve admits air for combustion during idle. If it is
sticking or dirty, you won't have air to run. You can clean the air
side of this valve using air intake or carburetor cleaner, and make
sure you wear safety glasses since it has a tendency to reflect back
in your face!
After it is cleaned, let it dry out and replace.
