Re: V8Q Hot Start Problem
Hi Shayne:
Mine wasn't dying when hot, just wouldn't start. I didn't replace the
part, my mechanic did. There are two hall senders on the car, a grey
and black (both are the same internally), he replaced the black one.
The part number is 077 905 381 A (for the grey one, because the dealer
didn't have the black one in stock). It was around $185 from the
dealer.
When yours quits, will it restart? When mine wouldn't start, the fuel
pump was running, but the engine was not getting any spark and the
injectors were not cycling. This was due to the faulty hall sender.
Good Luck!
