Re: V8Q Hot Start Problem



Hi Eddie:

Thanks for the tip, that is what it turned out to be.  I thought I had
it fixed, and then it failed at my mechanic's shop.  Based on your
email, he started at the engine speed sensors and found the one
closest to the exhaust manifold to be bad.

Also for the other V8 owners that have been experiencing the 'surging'
problem that has been the topic of much discussion on this page. 
Replacement of this Hall sensor has eliminated the surging that has
been a problem on this car for the last 40K miles.  Maybe a sensor
that is going bad will cause the surging.
