Funny, I don't know of any mailing lists such as

    justcars@anysite.com

although there's probably a USENET newsgroup for people that just want to talk
about any car, every car, 3 wheels, 4 wheels, 18 wheels, yada yada...

We have this quattro list, which fans of any audi (quattro or not) are 
welcome to post to. Yes, anyone's free to post to it. But we welcome
those who, as we do, prefer Audis to JUST CARS.

If it was just transportation, I don't think we'd have this list.
