Well, either the temperature switch on the valve cover is cycling three
times while the timer is running, or you have a defective relay thay
would run forever if the valve cover switch (or wiring) shorts. Then
again, you may have lucked out and have a relay with an unussually long
timer. Try shorting the switch in the morning before starting the car
(or turning on the ignition). If the fan runs, your relay is bad.
Personaly, my car will cycle the fan on and off two-four times in the
HOT Texas summer for maybe 10-15 min (haven't actually timed it yet).
