It's still like that in Germany and all over Denmark, so there is no EU-ban.
I've never heard of accidents, but then again: _We_ don't need the microwave
manual to tell us that you shouldn't dry your cat in it! ~8-)

Honestly, I don't understand it's allowed - it is a dangerous device (the
petrol hose catch, that is).
