The answer is that only the cognoscenti know the difference.

No diff lock switch,
Cigarette lighter moved to where diff lock switch used to be to make room
for wider Bose head unit,
Solid headrests (although some late '95 S6s had these too),
Some '95.5s came with cloth door panels as opposed to vinyl (I've seen one
sedan that came equipped this way).

And Obviously the different quattro system, but this is hard to spot from
the outside unless you are really good.

In the US the '95.5 S6 is basically a '96 S6 except Audi chose to call it a
'95.5 to skirt around OBD II compliance issues. This is a transcript of how
it went down at the factory...

Hans: Vat it von't pass ze OBD II regulations?
Werner: Don't vorry about it. Ve vill just call it a '95.5!

Gotta love those loopholes. Too bad they couldn't keep calling later models
'95.5s and keep bringing them in. Maybe even sneak a few 4.2L V8 versions in
too.
