Wheels and brakes

Hi,

What sort of wheel offset have people been successful with on the 80/90
quattros? My car is already lowered (1.25") and I am looking for 16x7(?)
wheels. Suspension rubbing is a concern with wider tires. (205/50x16)

Also, any recommendations for better-than-stock brake pads? The car is
primarily a daily driver so 'race' pads are out.
