Yes the Bose speakers (each) are amplified. No lights are blinking. Noise
seems to come from only the rear speakers, although it's not possible to
say (yet) if both (R&L) sides are doing it. The fade control didn't have
any effect. Yes, some low level of program material can be heard while it's
booming.
I'll start checking things out (PCBs, grounds, power) tomorrow morning.
I suppose it's too "easy" that the loss of the ground connection for the
rear window's heating element (& antenna?) would be related to this (?).
Still need to fix _that_ though. Just go at it with my soldering gun, or
low power soldering iron? How likely is that window to crack while heating
and applying a bit of solder? Any BTDTs?
