I had it done on my 4k, it wasn't too hard.  The removal was easy, but to do a
fuba, you need to run new antenna coaxial cable right from the head unit.
Under the carpet, up the back door sill.  The fuba get's drilled after you
pull away the roof cover from inside.  I pulled enough cover away to hide the
cable, but the excess should be hidden under the carpet.  Get some glue, just
in case the covering doesn't want to go back on.  I was working with a
professional installer, those are the things he did.  I then went and filled
the power antenna hole with filler, and had the back painted
