AoA NOT supporting USA Racing Teams, Please Read RE: [R] Maine Rally Prelim. entry
Mark, I hope you don't mind that I posted this on the A4org? But I got an
interesting response -
********************************
I am building Audi S2 for Rallyig. (Moving up from a 2wd car) AoA does not
want to get involved
and to make things worse I spoke with several Dealesrs and they are
interested but
AoA will not let them support any motorsport programs.
too bad
**********************************
So is Audi blackmailing their dealers too????
Geez, they will spend a gazillion bucks on a cute, but stupid commercial
showing two Audi's playing soccer, yet will NOT support its front line
troops in the USA! What they hell is WITH them? Even BMW is supporting their
racing teams in the USA, look at those nice looking GT2/GT3 M3's that have
been racing for awhile now, even helping them go to LeMans! Boy, did I make
a mistake then in buying an Audi? I guess if I wanted to race I should'a
gone with a BMW, but if I want to play soccer with my car, I'm ok with an
Audi??????
But that gives me another idea, . . . . . .If you look at the front of the
racing BMW's, it has the BMWCCA emblem. Perhaps then, we as a National Audi
Club should create a fund to help support our racing teams? Or would Audi
screw with us too???
Damn I am MAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!
