RE: AoA NOT supporting USA Racing Teams, Please Read RE: [R] Maine Rally Prelim. entry

I don't mind at all! Actually I bet I know who's response that
is...probably fellow rallyist George Plsek, who's been running a Saab 99T in
PRO Rally (top runner in Gr. 5), until he rolled it a few weeks ago at the
Reno Rally. He's building a new S2, from a wrecked CQ that I pointed him
to. He told me that he's gone to the Audi dealerships to try and get
sponsorship. The excuse he got, was that there's supposedly a slush fund
all Audi dealers have to pay to AoA for motorsports events. Where in the
hell that money actually goes, is anybody's guess... My dealer isn't real
great, but they are selling us parts at cost, so I can't complain too much,
and they even gave us one of their most recent Audi parts list CD-ROM's
(used instead of Microfiche now) to copy.

cya!
