Thanks...

Thanks to everyone who helped me with my strut/ball joint dilema. The
cure was to bolt the strut back up, slightly compress the springs and
ever so gentally whale the hell out of it with a BFH.
I now have another question, I'm replacing all the v-belts and was
planning to replace the timing belt also. However when I pulled the
cover the timing belt looks and feels almost brand new. the car now has
140,500 miles on it and service records (which are sketchy at best) show
that there was some front end damage at around 110,000 miles and I'm
thinking they had to replace the belt at this time. Is it possible to
tell if the belt going bad (fraying of the edges, cracking,
britleness?)so I can avoid a larger project that I want to start right
now? I know and understand the importance of this belt but the thing
looks brand new.

TIA
