RE: Driver Arm rest from A4 to 90??

One possibility (something I did in my 1990 90Q20v) is to
get the under-steering wheel parcel shelf from a pre-1990
car (the models after that - I assume yours is - have a full
knee bolster under the 'wheel).  A bit less safe, but much
more storage!  You have to fiddle a bit to get it to fit, but
most of the mounting points are the same (I also had to
cut out a hole underneath to get to the air-bag fuse).
