rear fog lamps

Yes.  We've discussed this before.  There's a _reason_ why only one side
is connected - rear fogs are many tims brighter than rear sidelights and
mask the startle effect of the brake lights.  Run with rear fogs on
both sides of the car and your chances of being rear-ended actually
_increase_ quite significantly.
