... you know Frank, I sent a similar message to Al ... it amazes me that
there are people on the qlist that will say that someone selling a V8 for
12K is asking too much, but they don't even question, or even jump at a '91
200q for 12.5K.  I guess some of it is related to the marketplace, but to
Audi cognoscenti it should be seen as an opportunity ... I've been told that
on the auction market the V8 5-speeds are the least desirable, and that one
may have sold for somewhere around $5500 not that long ago ...

The big thing that I had to acknowledge when I decided to go for the V8 was
that I could no longer use that part of my reasoning behind buying Audis
that I have a lot of experience with the car and the I5 and can do my own
service.  It turns out that I made a similar acknowledgement when I bought
the Audi Fox GTI back in '78 ... and ended up doing just about everything
other than open the engine up!

No, really I'm not trying to drive up the resale values of the cars ... no
I'm not!

I am glad that I do have mine already though ... :)
