I don't want to waste BW, but I've just got to say that this list is 
great.  Came out of a meeting and there were all these replies!  Thanks 
to everyone.

I do have the manual transmission (I thought all quattro's pre '95 
(Quattro IV?) were manual? but that's another question...) and the dealer 
says that it will be done under warranty.
