Carfax

Pulled a report for my mom's new car (honda ;-P) and am looking for more
info than it provided.  Does anyone know of another service of this type?  I
would like to do something along the lines of a title search, to show a more
specific trail of ownership.  Carfax showed the original registration and
titling in CA, and then the sale this May at an auction.  This may be
accurate, but it's so little information that I'd like to try to corroborate
it to be sure.
