I don't know what I'm talking about, just repeating what I've heard.
The maaco types actually do a good paint job, they skimp on prep work.
prep work is where the quality is in a paint job (cleaning, sanding,
stripping, masking, etc...?). I think if you don't need any rust/dent
repair any decent paint shop ought to be able to do it for $500.
Me, I need someone who "loves" doing bodywork and paint, to clean up my
car's little headaches and make it a pretty yellow that will last for
years... (in SE NH or thereabouts).
