   how bout trying a silent alarm that will wake you but wont let the guy 
   know that you have been awakened?

Lo these many years ago, one of the mainstream motorcycle rags ran an
article/survey on motorcycle alarm systems. One of the more interesting
results was that Honda motorcycle owners overwhelmingly preferred loud
and noisy alarms, while Harley owners predominantly opted for silent
"paging" alarms systems . . .

Low on AudiContent(tm), but I suppose we could run a poll on Audiistas
and their preference.
