Chris,
My local carrier (Frontier Tel. in western NY) is happy to take an extra
$20/ month for me to have the "privilege" of a second phone with the same
number. Probably the biggest profit-margin deal they sell. I don't do it,
btw. This has only become available here in recent months (a year?), so
maybe it's just not available in your area.
