I hooked up my power on lead on my stereo to the key dinger.  This way the 
radio has power whenever the key is in the ignition but when you pull it out 
viola, radio turns off.

So you can finish listening to the song after the engine is safely
turned off?  I have a diode and a switch that lets me do it with my
K'wood, but I'm a freak anyway.
