THANKS LIST: New 4kq

I just want to put out a Big thanks to the entire list.  I slightly
overpaid for my first Quattro, my Red 84' 4kq as I was taken in by the new
paint and custom wheels.  Missed the worn suspension.  Oops.  Thanks to
all the wonderful knowledge I have gained though over the last 2 years,
(WOW! has it been that long.   Well, 1.5 years at least.) I just took a
big step last week.  I bought a new quattro for $500, and drove it home.
Didn't even tell many people I was going to.  Just had my girlfriend meet
me to take me there.  Car is a silver 85' 4kq.  Minor body damage in front
and rear.  Basically needs a rear bumper cover and few spot welds
underneath in back.  front needs hood painted as it a good/different color
hood, and the core support is tweaked a bit.  Looks fine thoguh when
covered up.  ANd needs a grille.  Car had lots of little problems when I
got it but thanks to the list I knew I could fix most of them for free.
When I got home I cleaned it to find a beautiful, mostly straight car.
	Sunroof didn't open, only tilted.  Fixed it in 30 minutes.  Right
Front lights didn't work, fixed wiring in 15 minutes.  Replaced some bulbs
in other areas too.  Fixed Washer Fluid stuff.  Tightened seats, new
Teflon bushings.  Braked barely worked.  Bled system, Now brakes work
great.  Only I couldn't bleed R/R cause the Bleeder screw broke.  Oops.
EZX-outs no help.  Time to drill and Tap I guess. :(   Or move front to
rear and do a G-60 conversion in front. :) :)
	Only two problems remain.  Needs a clutch.  $180 plus $60 for a
slave cyl and maybe more for Gear-shift bushings while I am in there. 
	ANd the rear diff has a whine.  Didn't notice it on test drive.
Comes from rear Diff.  Checked Fluid.  VERY LOW.  Added fluid, still
there.  Will drain and fill with Synth.  Then see.  Am I screwed with the
Diff.  It is worn beyond help.  How much do used units go for in good
shape.  Will a Quantum Synchro unit be the same. Local U Pull it has one
there. 
	BTW, wheels are in great shape, Suspension is boad but he is
letting me take a good one off another quattro he has.  He HE.  :)
Bushing all look great too.  
	`AND, it has a 2.5 inch exhaust witha blown muffler that was
cheap.  All it needs is a muffler.  Piping in great shape.  L8R
