Re: phones upgrades
Well, this (one number for two phones) was big a few years ago, but
things have been changing and in most cases, it is very illegal. It may
still be legal in a few states, but I know it's illegal in Georgia and I
think it's illegal here.
This is due to changes in the FCC laws concerning this. And, that is
due to a problem with "cloning" of phones.
Living in Atlanta, I obviously had at least one cell phone (it _IS_ a
requirement to live in Atlanta). I, in fact, had it hard mounted in my
Audi 5KCSTQ. I opened my bill one month (which usually was never more
than $25-$30) and it was $800!!!!! I was like what??? Must be some
kinda of mistake. Anyways, I found out my phone number had been cloned
and someone ran up a huge bill on it. So, Bell South Mobility gave me a
pin number I had to enter in each time I made a phone call. A serious
PITA, but I guess it works for security.
Later,
Dan
