No, absolutely not.  I just didn't understand it, that's all.  Humour
doesn't always travle well - witness my remark about Jouko's BBSes.

It seems to be accepted by English academics, BTW, that modern American
English is closer to Shakespeare's pronunciation than current British
English - largely due to the affected accents of our Royal family.
