Wow Steve, I think you have the only Audi with non-50/50 f/r power
split.  As long as the center diff isn't locked, it splits torque
50/50.  Since the lower rear diff (higher ratio) must have the input
shaft moving faster than the front to travel at the same speed, it is
actually receiving more power than the front!  Depending on the actual
ratios, it may be splitting power 40/60 at the expense of the spider
gears of the center diff.
