3 basic 85-87 4kQ Questions

I was wondering these 3 things recently,

1.  Where and how do you access the bulbs behind the differential
locking/electronic gauges?  All my bulbs no longer work and I have never
seen one that is lit up.  Is is a basic sold everywhere bulb or is it a
bulb like the ones in the instrament panel that I have had to buy at the
dealer.

2.  Someone told me this but I accidently erased the email with the info.
On an 86 4kcs Q, what does the millage until empty on the trip computer
supposed to read?  It was somethink like 450 miles but I cannot remember.
It is in the Bentley, but I don't have one.(I still have to find one for a
good deal)

3.  Has anyone mounted the Hella 500 (round rally style) or any similar
light such as the Bosch round aux lights on an 85-87 4k before.  I have
seen pictures on the web with them mounted on top of the bumper.  I cannot
find anywhere else on a 85-87 4k to mount the ones I just ordered.  I can
also mount them in front of the bumper with some steal strips.  I saw
someone do this with a GTI and it looked very cool.  It seems the lights
would get backed into parking on the street like I have to though.
