Tracy:

On my 89 200T the plastic connector on the side of the distributor snapped
loose and I've notice some hesitation too.  I think the heat from the engine
over the years causes the connector to become brittle.

The wires are still connected to it so I'm using a little duct tape to hold it
together until I can replace the hall sensor, which is what the wires connect
to inside the distributor.  I believe the hall sensor serves the same purpose
as points, but naturally costs significantly more!

Where did you get the parts you recently installed?
