Re: Belt squeel or ??

When the V8's first came out they had problems with belt squeel caused by
the p.s. pump pulley not being in proper alignment with the a/c compressor,
at the dealer we have a special gauge that checks this and we can add or
subtract shims from between the pump and the pulley as neccesary to get
them in alignment. Unfortunaley only the dealer has this tool. If you are
friendly with your local dealer ask one of the older techs about this and
maybe he will let you use the tool. Good luck.
